Me, Myself and I

I have spent the last 3 weeks living on my own for the 1st time since I was 19yrs old....and I must say how much I have enjoyed, no, loved it...!

How I had forgotten to shop for the food that I like, instead of fitting in with what hubbie likes and to save waste, just have the same food...also saves cooking two meals.

Although I am looking forward to having him home any day now, I will be paying more attention to what I want to eat, what I want to watch on television or not, where to go or not go, stay in or go out...I have learned to listen to ME....its taken long enough, I will be 65 soon!!

  1. Hello Mrs WW, just came over from Mrs S Blog to say Hello! I am very envious that you have retired from the "rat race"! Best wishes Kath at Railway cottage

  2. Nice of Kath to drop by - eh?

I wish you well with the new 'you' Mrs Wee Wumman, and I identify with everything you've mentioned. When hubby was in hospital I bought a chip basket! I couldn't wait to get home and make the chips the way I liked them instead of pleasing my man. I'd love to adopt your new strategy of listening to yourself instead of complying but I'm a yella-bellied-coward.

Wishing your hubby well (quickly) and I'll be interested to find out how he copes with the new you.

Liked the split personality photo too. Incidentally - I didn't know you'd soon be 65!
